Cathodic Protection

Cathodic Protection Projects

  • Direct assessment of more than 600 miles of natural gas pipeline systems.  Project included soil resistivity, CIS, DCVG, pipeline current mapping and GPS surveys on multiple pipelines located in the Gulf Coast area.
  • Installation of more than 350 cathodic protection systems in a three-year period on various pipelines for client in Texas Gulf Coast area.
  • Installation of marine terminal cathodic protection system involving turnkey engineering, design, procurement and construction for three different docks and 10 above-ground storage tanks and associated piping.
  • Direct assessment of multi line pipeline corridor involving 25 pipelines.  Project involved pipeline current mapping, electronic depth of cover, DCVG, close interval potential survey, GPS survey, soil resistivity, and Pan Handle Eastern testing.  Upon completion of the field surveys, TEPSCO provided technical expertise for bell-hole examinations and field inspections of the bell-holes.
  • Design and installation of cathodic protection systems for 12 above-ground storage tanks and the ancillary piping.
  • Close interval and GPS survey for more than 1200 miles of liquids pipelines in the Eastern United States.
  • Engineering, design and construction of cathodic protection systems for a 7000-acre production field.  Project involved design for production wells, disposal wells, gathering lines, flow lines, injection lines, and three gas processing plants.
